A Discovery of Witches | Book Review

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

Several years ago I tried reading this book, and after chapter one I just wasn't interesting. Yet, like its witchy protagonist, I felt inexplicably drawn to reading it again. And I'm very glad I did. This time I loved it. Sometimes there is information dumping, but I love the mix of science, history, and fantasy. Although, Diana could be annoyingly stubborn and even childish at times, I was still invested in her story and Matthew really made the story worthwhile. I'm still a sucker for a vampire. My Rating: 4/5 stars
