Olivia Twist | A YA Book Review

Olivia Twist by Lorie Langdon

I really loved this book! Not only was it well-written and full of adventure, but it has great messages about not letting your past define you or your future and messages about love. The characters were also great. Jack was a devil may care outside, reluctant hero inside and easy to fall in love with. I am super picky about my female protagonists and I loved that Olivia was strong, but also feminine and kind. I am realizing I really enjoy a good historical fiction novel and this book has enticed me to check out the author's Doon series. Just an all around great retelling and bonus for it being a standalone! (But I'd surely read more about Jack and Olivia.)
