Illuminae (A YA Book Review)

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff is a science-fiction YA novel that is set in the future. The protagonists are Kady and Ezra and opens on their mining colony being destroyed by a big corporation. The story is mixed-media and told through emails, video surveillance transcripts, and multi-perspectives. At first, I was a little leary as this was heavy sci-fi for me and it was difficult for me to keep everything straight (planet names, good ships, bad ships, good people, bad people), but I ended up enjoying it. Really Ezra and Kady carried this book fr me. The format is a little tedious for us, OCD types, but I liked it enough to read Gemina. And I liked Gemina even more. That review will be coming next week!
