I recently read a great article from my ALLI newsletter called Are New Self-Publishing Platforms Killing the Editing Process by Yen Ooi. I see editing mistakes all the time whether it be in newsletters, newspapers, or emails at work (and I am a teacher)! I've even been guilty myself of publishing my first book with mistakes--not on purpose of course--but I've recently re-edited it. What do you think? Is current culture going to bring about the death of editing?
