Well - it's official! The Little Inspiration Books have gone off to be printed. Small order of 180 for the first run. Nothing spectacular...although it will be very exciting to see them in print! Funny that I've dreamed of being a "writer" by entire life...just never envisioned that my books would be under 500 words! HAHA! Even more ironic since I'm anything but a person of few words.

I'm very grateful to my husband and children who have been so patient with me over the last couple of days as I finished them. I'm also grateful for my ability to function on 2 - 3 hours of sleep a day. I haven't kept hours like this since I was finishing my graduate thesis. Watching the clock roll over into 3 am then 4 am then 5 am...horror! But- it will all be worth it in then end when I can package them up as gifts or see them in my first couple of boutique and gift stores.

The most inspiring has been my kids faces and how enthusiastic they are about my books. My biological kids and my "student" kids. They have all be so supportive. Makes me wonder why I didn't do this much sooner.

Funny story- today as I helped Caleb finish up his Language Arts fable, "The Turkey and the Human," we laughed at something silly I wrote for him. Then I added unceremoniously, "Ha! I should be a writer!" at which we then roared when he added - "but mom you already are!"
